What do we mean by networking?

If you have multiple machines under one roof. You could benefit from having a small network put into place. This service can greatly benefit both home users and businesses.

If you are a business you might find our centralized servers and support more useful. Click here for more info.

File sharing

Once your machines are networked files can be shared between them with ease. You could all access and work on the same files. For smaller networks we use something called peer to peer (p2p).

As the image above demonstrates files can be shared between multiple machines if they are connected to the same network.

Printer Sharing

There is two ways this can be done. The first is to have the printer connected to one machine and then shared to the rest of the network (shown below).

The problem with this method of printer sharing is that the machine which the printer is connected to must be switched on before others can print.

The second method which is a bit more expensive is to install a print server. This means we install a little device that would allow your printer to connect directly to the network. So that everyone can print at any time.
